July 29: Gambles Honored at PA Cares

Pennsylvania Health Fest is a community health festival expected to attract between 3,000 – 5,000 community residents across the Greater Philadelphia region. The event is begin held in the heart of West Philly at the historic Malcolm X Park. This family focused affair features a kids carnival, seniors lounge, cultural diversity market, food trucks, yoga classes, music, line dancing, video game truck, awards ceremony, and more. The event will be hosted by WDAS’ own Patty Jackson, and will include special performances by: Dru Hill, BriaMarie, The Delfonics Revue, Lenny Williams, and Howard Hewitt. This year will will also honor Kenny and Faatimah Gamble of Universal Companies , Councilwoman Jannie Blackwell and Brown’s Family Shoprite with Community Leadership Awards.

In addition to the live performances and resources, Pennsylvania Care Associates will also unveil their Medical Care Mobile. The new mobile screening unit and intake office will provide services such as blood pressure screenings, blood sugar testing, Primary Care health services, mental health counseling and other health related services across Southeastern Pennsylvania. The unit will be available for all residents across the region at various events and locations.
